About John

Two decades at the intersection of religion and mental health

John Dehlin holds a Ph.D. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology. His research and clinical training focus on the nexus of religion and mental health, with an emphasis on navigating religious faith crises and the LGBTQ/religious identity conflict.

Before completing his doctorate, John spent seven years at Microsoft and three years at MIT, where he served as Director of the International OpenCourseWare Consortium.
